The road to Omaha has been nothing short of eventful.

In all, five teams from both the ACC and SEC secured spots in the super regionals. No. 1 Tennessee, No. 2 Kentucky, No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 7 Georgia and Florida will represent the SEC, while No. 4 North Carolina, No. 6 Clemson, No. 8 Florida State, No. 10 NC State and No. 12 Virginia will represent the ACC. Joining them are No. 15 Oregon State as well as Evansville, UConn, West Virginia, Oregon and Kansas State.

On Monday, No. 4 North Carolina needed extra innings to send reigning champion LSU packing. Evansville beat No. 16 East Carolina 6-5 in the Greenville Regional to win its first regional title and advance to its first super regional in school history. No. 11 Oklahoma State was eliminated by Florida 4-2, with the Gators moving on after winning a regional out of the losers’ bracket for the second straight year. No. 15 Oregon State also advanced, beating UC Irvine 11-6. UConn became the final team to advance, winning the Norman Regional with a convincing victory over host Oklahoma.
